DSP12DSP.zip ============ DSP12DSP.zip contains the following files for use in conjunction with V2.00 of the toolkit for DSP-12: dsp12dsp.txt - this file dspfiles.asm - a source files that asssembles to 'dspfiles.obj', a constituent file for DSP-12 dspfiles.txt - a description of 'dspfiles.asm' and how to use it howto.txt - hints on how to remove modems from DSP-12 lod2data.c - a program to convert DSP56001 modem files from the .lod format to source text format compatibel with 'dspfiles.asm' (compile with the 'compact' memory model lod2data.exe - a compiled version of the above. DSP-12 'liberated' ================= I have been working with the DSP-12 toolkit for a while and in the course of actions I decided that it was about time to make it possible to add and remove modem files from the DSP-12. I have brought the file 'dspfiles.obj' - which holds the code for all the DSP modems - onto such a form (assembly code) that it is possible to edit it using a text editor. In addition I have written a small program that will take the output from the DSP56000 assembler (the .lod file) and bring it on the same form. meaning that new modems may be added to the DSP-12. Please observe that most of the individual DSP modems are still available in binary only as released by L.L.Grace. I have no intention to or possibility for bringing these files onto assembly format. The above has the following advantages: 1) You may reduce the number of options presented on the menu to just the modems you are interested in. In my case I removed everything except the satellite modems, the signal generator and the pipe modem. This gives a very clean menu and it will also give you space for your own developments. 2) You will be able to burn PROMs which include your own developments. This gives a much faster start-up time than having to download a particular modem every time you need it. Best 73 de Bent/OZ6BL (also oz6bl@msat.org)
